National Luna NLDC-40 DC-DC 40Amp Charger
The National Luna NLDC-40 is a DC-to-DC battery charger and isolator for dual-battery systems, capable of charging from a vehicle's alternator, solar panel or auxiliary DC source up to 40A output current.
It supports traditional and variable 12V and 24V vehicle alternators, and its integrated MPPT solar controller maximizes output power up to 600W, handling solar panel input voltages up to 42V.
The charger is compatible with all Lead-Acid and automotive Lithium-Ion batteries, thanks to its 6-stage charge algorithm.
In addition to the alternator and solar inputs, the NLDC-40 features a dynamic DC power input for voltages from 11V to 32V. Its advanced load-response algorithm allows it to support alternative DC sources with variable power levels (such as AC-DC power supplies, wind generators or DC generators).
It automatically switches between input sources and includes three safety stages to detect damaged batteries.
Temperature compensation ensures safe and full charging under various conditions, and it also supports the connection of a remote monitor that can display system and battery information.
The NLDC-40 is built for harsh environments with an IP67 (waterproof) rating and protection against reverse polarity, over-voltage, over-temperature, and over-current conditions.
